Situated in North-East London in the Borough of Waltham Forest, is Lynn Mews; a cobbled cul-de-sac off Lynn Road. The Mews contains 13 properties used for residential purposes.
The Mews is not part of a Conservation Area. A high explosive bomb fell onto Coben Road, north-east of the Mews in World War II.
The two and three storey properties have rendered or painted brickwork facades and a mixture of mansard and parapet roof styles, surrounded by a cobbled road surface with intact and converted garages and restricted parking.
The original purpose of the Mews was to provide stable/ coach house accommodation for the main houses on the surrounding streets and nowadays they are predominantly used for residential purposes.
Before and since 2003 there have been a few planning applications made for alterations to the properties within the Mews, the most notable being; the redevelopment of the site for residential usage.
