Project Description

Extension and refurbishment of existing two storey Mews property in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

The existing two storey Mews structure was extended at ground floor level to the rear and refurbished throughout.

The refurbishment works were undertaken by the Invisible Painter who are a specialist decoration and finishes Contractor based in London. Works were undertaken for a Private Client.

The Construction costs for the work on number 6 totalled £250,000.

Design Inspirations

The existing building had become tired without being dilapidated. It needed a comprehensive refurbishment and extension to adapt to the needs of the Clients growing family.

Project Notes and Timeline

Works commenced in 2013 and carried out throughout the year and the early part of 2014.

The Invisible Painter carried out all the works themselves. The project took considerably longer than might otherwise have been the case as the works had to be carried out whilst the owners remained in the property.

Technical Appraisal and Review

Invisible Painter were able to carry out the works within a constricted site whilst the Client remained in occupation and whilst this extended the working duration it reduced the overall budget costs for the Client.
