Situated in South-West London in the Borough of Wandsworth, is College Mews; a gated, Mews Style cul-de-sac off St. Ann’s Hill. The cul-de-sac contains 6 properties used for commercial purposes.
College Mews is part of the Wandsworth Town Conservation Area. A high explosive bomb fell onto Ridgemount Road, just off St. Ann’s Hill in World War II and when the London Poverty Maps were first published, the area was deemed to have comfortable living conditions with ordinary household earnings for the time, though some houses were seen as poorer in comparison.
The cul-de-sac is a newer, courtyard style mews development and nowadays the properties are predominantly used for commercial purposes.
Before and since 2003 there have been a number of planning applications made for alterations to the properties within the cul-de-sac, the most notable being; the erection of 6 workshop/ office units.
