Property Description

Situated in south-east London in the Borough of Lewisham, is Royal Parade Mews; a cobbled cul-de-sac off Royal Parade. The Mews contains a few properties used for commercial purposes.

The Mews is not part of a Conservation Area. When the London Poverty Maps were published, the area surrounding the Mews was deemed to have a mixture of comfortable and poorer living conditions with average or lower than average household earnings. A high explosive bomb fell onto Royal Parade in World War II.

The two storey properties have painted brickwork facades and ridged roof styles, surrounded by a cobbled road surface with intact and converted garages.

Everchanging Nature

The original purpose of the Mews was to provide stable/ coach house accommodation for the main houses on the surrounding streets and nowadays they are used primarily for commercial purposes.
