Situated within inner London in the Borough of Islington, is Marlborough Yard; a gated and cobbled Mews Style cul-de-sac off Marlborough Road. The Yard contains 21 properties used for residential purposes.
The cul-de-sac is not part of a Conservation Area.
The two storey properties have plain and painted brickwork facades and flat roof styles, surrounded by a cobbled road surface with restricted parking and both intact and converted garages. Some of the properties have roof gardens, raised party walls and metal bressumers.
Nowadays the properties are used primarily for residential purposes. They are Mews in style only, having no apparent equine history.
Before and since 2003 there have been many planning applications made for alterations to the properties within the cul-de-sac, the most notable being single and two-storey extensions.
