Situated to the north-east of London in Hackney, is Wilton Mews; a private, gated cul-de-sac off Wilton Way. The Mews contains 2 properties used for residential purposes. It is located on the site of an original Mews but has been re-developed to a degree that it no longer contains any surviving Mews properties.
The Mews is part of the Graham Road and Mapledene Conservation Area. When the London Poverty Maps were first published, the area was deemed to have very comfortable living conditions with higher than average household earnings.
No details have been recorded about the Mews as no access is granted to the general public.
The original purpose of the Mews was to provide stable/ coach house accommodation for the main houses on the surrounding streets but nowadays the properties are used for residential purposes.
