Property Description

Situated to the north of the Borough of Camden, is Wildwood Grove; a private pedestrian through road off North End Way. The Mews Style road contains 13 properties used for residential purposes.

The Mews marks the boundary of the Hampstead Conservation Area. Designated on 29th January 1968, the area contains a large number of listed buildings with archeological interest and is situated in North London, from Finchley Road to Highgate. It also demonstrates aspects of an 18th Century Village, adjacent to streets created in the Victorian Era as well as many 20th Century developments.

Built in 1886-7 along with Wildwood Terrace as an unmade road of two-storey cottages with very small front gardens, the properties have plain and painted brickwork facades with roofs hidden behind parapet walls, surrounded by a pebble and tarmacadam road surface.

Everchanging Nature

Before and since 2003 there have been a number of planning applications made for alterations to the properties within the Mews, the most notable being; a few single storey extensions to the properties. Conservation Area controls apply to any new development in the Mews.
