Hippodrome Mews is located on the site of an original Mews but has been re-developed to a degree that it no longer contains any surviving Mews properties. It is a cul-de-sac off Portland Road in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and contains 29 properties used for residential purposes.
Hippodrome Mews is named after the Hippodrome Race Course which no longer exists.
The original purpose of the Mews was to provide stable/ coach house accommodation for the larger houses on Portland Road. Now, the Mews properties are used for residential purposes.
