Situated to the west of London in Ealing is Essex Park Mews, a through road off Curricle Street. The Mews contains 11 properties used for residential and commercial purposes. It is located on the site of an original Mews but has been re-developed to a degree that it no longer contains any surviving Mews properties.
The Mews is not part of a Conservation Area.
Essex Park Mews is made up of two storey, plain brickwork buildings with pitched or ridged roof styles, surrounded by a tarmacadam road surface. Parking is restricted and there are both intact and converted garages present.
Everchanging Nature
The original purpose for the Mews was to provide stable/ coach house accommodation for the main houses on the surrounding streets but nowadays the properties are used for a mixture of commercial and residential purposes. There have been a few planning applications made for alterations to the properties within the Mews both before and since 2003, mainly external alterations.
