Situated to the west of London in Hammersmith and Fulham, is Elysium Place; a Mews Style cul-de-sac off Grimston Road. The street contains 2 properties used for commercial and residential purposes.

The street is not part of a Conservation Area. A few high explosive bombs fell onto Grimston Road in World War II, not far from the Mews and when the London Poverty Maps were first published, the area was deemed to have comfortable living conditions and ordinary household earnings for the time.

Elysium Place is made up of one and two storey, plain and painted brickwork buildings with gable and pitched roof styles, surrounded by a tarmacadam road surface and plants.

Everchanging Nature

The street has no apparent equine heritage and is merely Mews Style; nowadays the properties are used for residential purposes, though some commercial activity still remains.

There have been a number of planning applications made for alterations to the properties within the cul-de-sac both before and since 2003, mainly concerning the changes of use to a studio and a single swelling house.
