Situated to the north of London in Enfield is Broadway Mews, a through road off Elmdale Road. The Mews contains 5 properties used for a mixture of residential and commercial purposes. It is located on the site of an original Mews but has been re-developed to a degree that it no longer contains any surviving Mews properties.
The Mews is not part of a Conservation Area.
Broadway Mews is made up of two storey, plain brickwork buildings with gable roof styles, surrounded by a tarmacadam road surface. Parking is restricted and there are intact garages present.
The original purpose for the Mews was to provide stable/ coach house accommodation for the main houses Green Lanes and nowadays the properties are still used for commercial, as well as residential purposes. There have been a few planning applications made for alterations to the properties within the Mews both before and since 2003, the most notable being the use of a property for repair and servicing of motor vehicles, and the use of a premises as a scrap metal yard.
