If you have been watching the ‘The Trial of Christine Keeler’ you may wish to visit Wimpole Mews in Marylebone and surreptitiously take in a view of No. 17 which was the home of the osteopath Stephen Ward in the early 1960s. He was inextricably involved with the scandal in which John Profumo had an affair with Stephen Ward’s tenant Christine Keeler. This was also the location where her former lover – Johnny Edgecombe – fired his handgun at the door triggering the events exposing the scandal.
