Spear Mews is a cobbled, one-way through road off Templeton Place, leading to Earls Court Road in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Spear Mews contains 17 properties, used for residential purposes.

In the past, the area was noted as having a mixture of comfortable living conditions and normal household earnings with poorer residences for the time when the London Poverty Maps were first published.

The Mews is part of the ‘Nevern Square’ Conservation Area; first designated in 1985, the area contains Earl’s Court Road, a street of considerable visual interest with a high architectural quality and rich history.

The two storey properties have plain or painted brickwork facades with mansard or parapet roof styles surrounded by a cobbled road surface. Dusty Springfield once lived in the Mews.

Before and since 2003 there have been a few planning applications made for alterations to the properties in the Mews, mainly regarding new fenestration on some of the properties. Conservation Area controls apply to any new development in the Mews.
