June 2016 – Flowers Mews

The weather has become warm again – as the nation hurries to make the most of the sun, blue skies, green grass and beautiful flowers as they decide whether to vote IN or OUT in the referendum in 2 weeks time.

Unfortunately we couldn’t find a BREXIT Mews… so have harkened back to the sunny weather with Flowers Mews in Islington – a through road off Tollhouse Way. The Mews contains 2 properties used for residential purposes (unfortunately, the Mews is somewhat absent of its namesake and seems quite bare, so we’ve included some other flowery photos from London to brighten up this publication).

The Mews is part of the St. John’s Grove Conservation Area. A high explosive bomb fell onto Junction Road in World War II, just below the Mews.

The two storey properties have rendered and painted brickwork facades and a mixture of pitched and flat roof styles, surrounded by a tarmacadam road surface with restricted and allocated parking and both intact and converted garages.
